Fiber Challenge is finally here.

The annual guild Fiber Challenge kickoff took place at our January 22nd meeting. This year the focus is on creating texture in your handspun yarns.

Create any item in the following categories and bring it to the May 21st meeting for presentation and community voting. a. Finished Skein b. Knitted Item c. Crocheted item d. Woven item e. Felted item f. Other - Most Creative Use of Textured Yarn 

We’re always excited to meet new people in the guild community. Guests are welcome at any meeting with no registration needed and may attend up to two meetings at no cost before joining. Feel free to bring your spinning, knitting, or any fiber project you’d like to work on or get help with and settle into the circle.

Please Note - the meeting will be held at the Holly St location.

The Aurora Colony Handspinners strives to be a welcoming venue for all who attend and participate in our guild and its events. Our mission is to promote awareness of the art and craft of hand spinning in the community at large, and to give spinners an opportunity to share, learn, educate and study. We will accomplish this mission with a caring attitude, and we expect and encourage everyone to be kind and respectful in their intentions with each other.
