Friday Class: Spinning Luxury and Exotic Fibers


In our morning, we will spin a variety of beautiful natural fibers using classic spinning techniques. We will also create some lovely blends using exotic fibers, including silk, alpaca and mohair. Bring your wheel and all its parts. I will supply the spinning fibers for the class but please bring any fibers you may have questions about.

In the afternoon, we will look at the wild and wooly side of spinning! Using a wide variety of fibers, we’ll learn about spinning for both texture and color. I will supply the spinning fibers for the class but please bring any fibers you would like to try or may have questions about.

Bring your wheel and all its parts. I have extra handcards but please bring your own if possible.

Saturday Classes: Spinning for the Hands that Weave

In our morning class, we will learn about spinning for the structure of the cloth. We’ll learn how to make the best warp for your dream project. We will make three different warps from our handspun, each with a special project in mind.

In our afternoon class, we’ll learn how to spin weft yarns that will work perfectly with each of the three warps we spun in the morning class.
