Dying Silk Caps and Hankies with Cydne Pidgeon
Details:
This new method of dying silk caps and hankies ensures success every time! You can easily see that your silk is completely wetted and easily view both sides for dying, and it is a very neat method!
Bring to class: an apron, an old hand towel, a broiler tray or cookie sheet with sides at least 1"
Material fee: $20 paid to instructor at the beginning of class.

How to Card and Blend Fibers with Suzanne Campbell
Details:
Learn to use a drum carder, hand cards, flicker brush and blending board to prepare fleece for spinning or felting.
Bring your own drum card, hand cards, blending board if you have one. Fiber will be provided.

Learn to Spin on a Spinning Wheel with Loyce Ericson
Details:
In this class you will learn the basics of spinning wheel operation, how to adjust the tension and care for your wheel, and most importantly how to make YARN! If you have a wheel, please bring it in working condition, 2-3 empty bobbins, spinning wheel oil and an orifice hook.
If you don't have a working spinning wheel, let Loyce know at chocolatesheepgallery@yahoo.com or call (503) 799-2451 and we will arrange for you to borrow one for class.
A handout and all spinning materials will be supplied.

Navajo Style Three Ply/Chain Plying with Christine Thomas-Flitcroft
Details:
In this workshop students will learn how to make
a three-ply yarn using a chaining technique known as Navajo Three Ply. Students must be able to spin a stable single yarn.
Materials to bring: A working spinning wheel, 3 bobbins (including the one on your flyer).
Fill one of the 3 bobbins with approximately 25 yards of singles yarn.
Materials provided by Teacher: 2-oz of Blue Faced Leicester Top.
Material Fee: $5.00 - to be collected by the teacher.

Spinning Circle
Details:
Come join in the spinning circle. Bring your wheel, spindle, your choice of spinning equipment, knitting, crochet and spend some time with others doing what you enjoy and visit the vendors while you are there. Have a fun and relaxing day.
