Meetings

Curious about the guild and what we do?  If you haven’t been to one of our meetings before but want to see what we’re all about, please feel free to join us at one of our regular meetings free of charge.

Most regular monthly meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. every 4th Thursday, ( June and September meetings are held the third Thursday) April, July, and December other events are held. There is no meeting in November.  Board meetings begin a 6:00 p.m. and all members are welcome to attend board meetings. We meet at:

United Methodist Church
1520 N. Holly Street,
Canby, OR  97013

Come early to spin and socialize!

Our April meeting is an all day spin-in.

In July, we have a dye day and picnic on the grounds of the Aurora Colony Museum.

We have a holiday potluck party and gift exchange in early December.
Check the calendar for exact dates.

In addition to the monthly meetings, there’s a Guild study group that meets at Taborspace in SE Portland from 1:00pm to 4:00pm on the third Sunday of each month except June and July.  The group is self-funded to cover the room rent — members pay $4 per drop-in.   For more information or to join see the group on Ravelry, https://www.ravelry.com/groups/portland-handspinners.

The ACHG Knitting Focus group meets at the Oregon City Library on the first and third Tuesdays of the month from 4:30 - 7:00 pm. We meet in the conference room on the 2nd floor. Please bring what ever knitting project you are working on. The group started out studying Orenburg Lace and has morphed into helping each other with the knitting projects that members are working on or want to start. Contact Christine Thomas-Flitcroft or Cydne Pidgeon for more information. - contact information is in the member directory.
